Monday Night Skills Training - Term 2

Monday nights at the Dingoes are all about sharpening the fundamentals. Our skills sessions focus on the core building blocks of the game - first touch, passing, dribbling, 1v1s and decision-making - in a fun, supportive environment that encourages players to try, fail, and grow.

Open to players across our Under 8s through Under 15's, sessions are led by club coaches under the guidance of our Director of Football, Dylan Burns, and designed to complement your regular team training.

Whether you're just starting out or working toward the next level, Monday skills training is a great way to get more touches on the ball, build confidence, and enjoy football with your mates!

Term 2 Monday Skills Training will run Monday evenings from 5:00pm to 6:00pm Monday 20th April to Monday June 22nd.

Play Neighbourly & Our Facilities

Living & Playing in our Community

Dayboro Dingoes has been a part of our community and our kids' lives for 25 years. In that time the Club has grown and our player membership now numbers nearly 180 playing members - all juniors up to and including Under 15 and Adult Social teams. For context this is growth of around 100% when compared to 2023's season.

For a small community like Dayboro, this is an incredible participation rate not to mention growth and fantastic to see people out enjoying football. As parents ourselves first and foremost, we as a Club love that our Dingoes families and kids are choosing to engage in team sport and getting out and amongst it with friends playing the world game, and not just choosing a Playstation or Netflix.

To that end, our Club has had to grow and incorporate new ways of working, as well as garnering support from Council and State to incorporate  additional infrastructure such as field lighting to enable our Club to support additional teams and an ever increasing tempo of life in general for our Member activities, parents and carers. Additional regulation and oversight has meant adding training sessions for coaches and referees, and catering to increased cadence of utilisation at the Colin Thiele Memorial Field.

Hours of Use

Working with Council, we are working with what we feel are reasonable hours that enable the Club and our Members to train, play, and service the Community whilst working to be a good neighbour to our surrounding Clubs and Community residents.

This includes working closely with neighbouring Associations and Clubs to avoid events conflicts where possible,

For Season 2026 our hours of use on weekdays are limited to 8pm  (Monday through Thursday), Fridays until 9:30pm, and weekends to 7pm (Saturday and Sunday) to cater for training and fixtures. We have done and will continue to do our best to schedule fixtures during daylight hours where possible to allow the facility to be used without interrupting our neighbours' weekend evenings with lighting. Our Permit to Occupy for Season 2026 allows utilisation for this purpose.

During weeknights, we have a requirement to be able to train up to 20 squads, plus skills training and other sessions for coaching, referees and season preparation etc.

We will not be playing or training past 8pm Monday to Thursday, and 7pm weekends, and commit to ceasing activity, and commencing breaking down / putting away our equipment by those times at the latest.

This will be communicated to all coaches, team managers and match day officials, and will be adhered to.

Using the Field

Whilst the field and Clubhouse is a Moreton Bay City Council asset, it is leased by the Club and subject to terms and conditions of a Permit to Occupy, insurance, permitted activities guidelines and so forth. We are a Club are responsible for many aspects, responsibilities and elements of the facility's condition and use as well as the costs involved. It is and our equipment is not, as some have asked, a general public use / accessible space.

Pitch Condition & Wet Weather: we would ask our Members and broader community after wet weather to please not access or use the pitch if it is Closed. Our website has the most current information at the top right of the page. This is to minimise damage and costs for remediation, and to ensure our teams and visitors have a safe and appropriate pitch to play on. Unlike rugby, soccer is played with the ball on the pitch and not carried, and hence the pitch requirements differ.

Dogs / animals: for reasons of health, player and guest safety and comfort, we must respectfully ask that no animals other than Service Animals are brought on to the fields at any time.

Social use: we encourage people to come down and have a kick. Please note that the soccer goals and other infrastructures are Club property not Council or public assets. We ask that they are not to be damaged, moved or removed, or nets tampered with or climbed on. The Club accepts no liability for adhoc community use.

Parties and events: Please be aware that regrettably children's birthday parties and other non Club social events are not able to be catered for at the Club at this time, nor is Club equipment and facilities able to be utilised for same. It represents a separation from our Lease Conditions and Council Permitted Use and Activities, and creates a liability and risk exposure for our Club.

Community Minded Behaviour at Games & Training

Dayboro Dingoes adheres to and supports Football Australia and Football Queensland's Protect our Game initiatives.

We do not and will not tolerate untoward or antisocial behaviour on or off the field. We take this very seriously and invite you to let us know if you observe or have dealings with any Dayboro Dingoes or community member acting in such a manner in writing to secretary.dingoes@gmail.com. We commit to responding to any such reports within 7 days.

As a small Community Club, we are committed to being a good neighbour as we bring our kids families together out to play and train in a sport they love and enjoy with their mates.

If you are a neighbour of the Showgrounds precinct, we'd love to see you come down and say hello. Even better - if you have a moment to man a barbie for 30 minutes on a Saturday morning, burn a sausage on a Wednesday for training, or simply come down and cheer a local Dingoes' kids team along, you will be made very welcome.
